RACI is a handy little tool. It isn't new by any means but one of those tools that I find keeps coming out of my mouth as I talk to clients who are in a situation where structure or role change is happening. Often folks working through structure change have either a short timeline or at least one key stakeholder with minimal patience for wading through a lengthy and painstaking definition process. Funny how often these two factors are present. When there isn’t time to do a complete process walk-through and re-assign roles within a process, well, RACI can be a great way to get some things clarified at a level of detail that you can get through quickly and this isn’t too weedy!
